Summer Fun!

Madi got to spend a few days with her cousins last week. Despite all of the time outs, I really think they had a good time!

We camped in Grand Haven with Mom & Dad for coast guard festival. Spent lots of time on the boat and in the sun. It was awesome!

Madelynn almost always falls asleep when we go for a boat ride. Here she is all crashed out only a few minutes into the ride!

Madi and I had a great long weekend camping up in Ludington with my parents & Haley. We got lots of sun, swimming, and bike riding in! Madi loved visiting my parents' property up there too and helping Grandpa do some work on the gate.

For Easter we had many celebrations - all of which included chocolate, much to Madelynn's delight. She has it on her face in almost every picture! We had fun on an easter egg hunt, opening easter basket presents, and visiting with family.

Spring Break

Over my Spring Break this week, we took our first long Schultz Family trip! Matt, Madi and I took the long (16 hour) drive to Myrtle Beach this past week. The weather wasn't as warm as we had hoped, but we did still get in some quality beach and swimming time. We really enjoyed it!

Madelynn was such a trooper! We even drove through the night last night to get home and she did awesome. All we can say is thank God for my parent's van with the DVD player. We never would have made it if they hadn't let us take it!!

Madelynn was obsessed with the car strollers at the outlet mall we went to. We finally had to rent one for her...well worth the $8!

One day was rainy so we went to the Ripley's Aquarium. Madelynn was a little grouchy, but she was still in awe...her favorite display was "Nemo." We had to buy one in the gift shop for her and she is constantly carting it around now!

She wasn't sure about the sharks swimming overhead...she's got a pretty good grip on Daddy!

She LOVED sitting in the chairs and looking out over the balcony. If you looked down you could see the ocean and the kiddie water park.

She liked to wear her hippo float, but not in the water. She was not into the deep pool. I guess we'll have to break her in like we did last year! The first few days were chilly so we had to hang out at the indoor pools. Our hotel had an indoor pool & hot tub, an indoor lazy river, and then a water park, kiddie pool, and another regular pool and hot tub outside. It was awesome!!
